Kindergarten children and students in Lower Austria explore a vibrant world of art, culture, and creativity at the Kunstmeile Krems. Admission is free for all groups, just as limitless as the imagination of young minds.

Free museum admission and art education for groups

The ABENTEUER MUSEUM! (ADVENTURE MUSEUM) transforms the museum into a space for new experiences and discoveries. In addition to FREE ADMISSION, it offers school classes, kindergarten groups, and after-school programs in Lower Austria the opportunity to book a FREE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM of their choice. Options include dialogue-oriented tours (60 min.), participatory formats (90 min.), and creative workshops (180 min.). These programs are designed to align with educational curricula and address current socio-cultural and media-technological trends.

Educational programs for all school levels

The brochure EXPEDITION:KUNST offers an overview of the current programs for children’s groups and schools for Spring/Summer 2024. Museum-specific and exhibition-specific educational programs are also available online on the Kunstmeile Krems websites.

Your visit to Kunstmeile Krems

For school groups, we split the group starting from the twenty-second participant, and for kindergartens from the sixteenth child. Two accompanying adults or legally required teachers per group are admitted free of charge. Free coatrooms and a break room in the Kunstmeile Krems Atelier are available (please register in advance). All facilities are accessible.

The vision of the ABENTEUER MUSEUM!

The ABENTEUER MUSEUM! aims to ensure that all kindergarten children and students in Lower Austria experience the museum as a place for new encounters and learning. For Kunstmeile Krems, art and culture education stand for the advancement of art, culture, and science. As a publicly funded institution, Kunstmeile Krems is committed to providing universal educational opportunities for as many people as possible, regardless of age or social background, in the spirit of lifelong learning. This vision is supported by the NIEDERÖSTERREICHISCHEN SPARKASSEN and KREMSER BANK, with additional support from KUNSTSALON KREMS in 2024.

Cultural education is indispensable for “the dignity of the [human being] and the free development of his personality,” as emphasized by the United Nations in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our museum’s educational programs ensure engaging and interactive experiences, encouraging children and adolescents to actively participate and view the museum as an exciting journey in art and architecture.
