An insight into the world of photography! Teenagers get to know the extensive work of the renowned Austrian photographer Elfriede Mejchar. The retrospective offers an overview of the artist's multifaceted oeuvre: collages, still lifes, plant studies and photographic documentation of monuments and works of art. The young people explore the images and the question of what makes a photograph art. At the same time, they learn more about photographic techniques. How does analog photography work? What is a darkroom?

During the 90-minute guided tour, the young people try out a very old photographic technique in the creative section: the cyanotype, also known as the photogram. This technique, which dates back to the beginnings of photography, enables participants to create their own artistic prints of objects on light-sensitive paper.
