Identity and Representation
British artist Thomas J Price is known for his larger-than-life sculptures of people. His artworks invite us to think deeply about topics such as identity, individuality and visibility in our society. The young people ask themselves the questions: Who is perceived and seen in society? Who is depicted and represented in art? Why are there so few sculptures by people of color?
During the 90-minute tour, they have the opportunity to express their own identity in the creative section. They take photos of themselves, which they then edit and develop using a digital drawing program. This creative exploration allows young people to bring their own experiences and perspectives into the discussion about representation and visibility.
