Museum Architecture
What do museum buildings around the world look like? How are works of art and people taken into account by this special architectural style? How are form and functionality connected? In the museum architecture workshop, participants will explore museum buildings and architecture both theoretically and practically. The workshop content is tailored to the age of the participants.
The youngest participants, children aged 6 and over, explore architecture in a playful way. The aim is to experiment, design, shape and build. How do you build a tower that won't collapse? Which geometric shapes provide stability? With imagination and skill, they realize their own architectural visions. Together they create a large icosahedron house.
Teenagers dedicate themselves to the central questions of architects regarding function and statics in this workshop. Equipped with new knowledge, they have to prove themselves in a creative competition. Which museum design will convince the jury? In small groups, the students develop their own museum architecture and implement it as a model using recycled materials.
The workshop module is combined with a short museum tour. The guided tour can be chosen flexibly to best suit the group. This ensures that the experience is tailored to the needs and interests of the participants.
