Off-kilter Photography

Potatoes fly through the air, shards of broken plates cover the kitchen floor. The German artist couple Anna and Bernhard Blume are internationally renowned for their photographs of bizarre domestic scenes. Teenagers engage with the humorous and often surreal pictorial stagings. By analyzing and discussing the artworks, they learn more about the approach of the two artists and the possibilities of analog photography. The program not only offers an introduction to the world of photography, but also encourages young people to discover and develop their own creativity.

During the 90-minute guided tour, the young people work with a digital drawing program in the creative section, reworking photo portraits and creating fantastic and absurd self-portraits. Both creativity and digital skills are required.
