Printing
During the printing workshop, children and teenagers learn about printing techniques, experiment with materials and create their own prints using monotype, frottage and material printing. The program gives participants the opportunity to explore various printing techniques and express their own creativity. It is adapted to the age of the participants.
What is a print exactly? To begin with, the children playfully look at examples from art history before printing their own prints. In addition to abstract material prints, they create their own creative frottages by experimentally rubbing off structures. These become the starting point for the further design of a fantasy animal. This not only encourages the children's perception of surfaces, but also their imagination and creativity.
How long has printing existed? How have printing techniques developed over the last few centuries? What is the difference between relief and intaglio printing? After a brief theoretical introduction, the teenagers will be creative themselves using different types of monotype. Monotype is a printing technique in which only a single print of an image is created. The participants use acrylic and gel plates to create their own image compositions with colors and various tools. The images are then transferred to paper to create unique monoprints.
The workshop module is combined with a short museum tour. The guided tour can be chosen flexibly to best suit the group. This ensures that the experience is tailored to the needs and interests of the participants.
