The Caricature Museum Krems invites visitors to experience contemporary visual art from the region around the Brenner Pass with Gabriela Oberkofler's installation "Buggelkraxen", an excursion from the exhibition "100 Years of Paul Flora". Gabriela Oberkofler’s work, which was awarded the Paul Flora Prize in 2014, is characterized by an impressive diversity of photography, drawing, video, room installation and participatory elements. The central theme in her art is nature and its preservation.
Miniature village made from fruit boxes
Caricature Museum Krems’ installation "Buggelkraxen" makes references to people’s confrontation with the environment. Built from fruit crates, the miniature village can be carried on the artist’s shoulders. Buggelkraxen is meant to animate visitors to think about the fragility of the village idyll.
