Lena Willemark is an outstanding personality in the European folk music scene of the last 40 years. Her captivating, captivating and touching way of singing and playing the violin has made her known far beyond the borders of Scandinavia. 

Starting from her home in Älvdalen in Dalarna - and returning there again and again - Lena Willemark has helped trigger the folk revival in Sweden. She has completely reinterpreted Nordic traditions without forgetting the roots of the music. Her collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Ale Möller deserves special mention here.

She will be performing two very different concerts in Krems as part of the Imago Dei festival. She is the central voice in the three-nation ensemble around Anders Jormin on April 12th and sings international poetry from four centuries. On April 18th, she will return to perform music by Johann Sebastian Bach with Cecilia Zilliacus in an inimitable and extraordinary way.
