Bruno Haberzettl
Caricatures from 25 years of Krone bunt
10.11.2019-01.03.2020
The caricaturist Bruno Haberzettl (*1965) has been an integral part of the Austrian caricaturist scene as a freelance illustrator since the 1990s. The exhibition focuses on his caricatures since 1995, which he has drawn for the "Kronen Zeitung". His career began at the youth magazine "Rennbahn Express", later he worked for the "WIENER". Haberzettl's caricatures are colorful, socially critical and always to the point. In addition to his work as a political cartoonist, Haberzettl is a great critic of hunting tourism and Sunday hunters. Issues relating to ecology and environmental protection are close to his heart and now enjoy international cult status.
He is also regarded as a successor who independently continued the tradition of Austrian, colorful Mannerist execution after Erich Sokol, Horst Haitzinger, Erich Eibl, Manfred Deix and Gerhard Haderer.
