The cult TV series "The Simpsons" celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2024. Not only the Karikaturmuseum Krems with the exhibition "Here Comes Bart! Simpsons Cartoon Art from the Collection of William Heeter and Kristi Correa", but also the Zwentendorf nuclear power plant is welcoming the cartoon characters. A "Simpsons" intervention takes possession of the nuclear power plant. With a wink, it combines the fictional world of "The Simpsons" with an exciting chapter of Austrian contemporary history.

The "Simspons" intervention and the Zwentendorf nuclear power plant can only be visited on guided tours. In "Homer's Radioactive Tour" you will learn exciting facts about the construction and function of the power plant. Historical caricatures, a special kind of advertising film from the 1970s, "Simpsons" motifs and lots of humor promise an entertaining tour.
